The steering gearbox under the gas tank needs adjustment. should be a screw with a lock nut on it.

There are holes in the sides of the tool box where you should be able to get to them.

So you think its in the box & not the pedestal? It even wobbles @ slow speed. Looks like I might need to pull the sheet metal off around the box. I sure hate to mess up the paint but I've got to get this fixed.

The adjustment screw would be behind the starter. You would need to remove the starer to get at it. Chances are that it is a Ross which would most likely need inside repair. A Gemmer normally will not give a great deal of play compared to the Ross. I have pictures of both laid out in pieces if interested.
