Well guys I had gotten stumped by the carb so I am taking it to a friend who has a little more experience with them. As far as the 12V battery , I was able to hook one up and she cranked over so now I just need a fuel supply. Thanks for your help.

| Butch, does your WD45 have distributor or magneto? If magneto, it won't matter whether you have a battery hooked up. The WD45 would have a Fairbanks Morse magneto, if it is magneto. If you have a magneto, and are considering a 12 volt conversion, you may wish to only convert the starting circuit, charging circuit and acs. circuits (lights etc). You don't have to change anything in the ignition circuit if you have a magneto and like it that way.
