I need to replace the axle seals in the final drive. Can I do this without removing the axle, if so, how and do I need any special tools?

If you have to remove the cast center you will need a 20 ton puller. Just tore my first Allis b down and got my first experience at the primary and final drives. Just a little different than the Molines I have.

You can remove the seal from the outside. You take the tire off, take the center lock nut off the axle, and then the cast hub. The hubs can be tight as mentioned. I have removed 9 out of 10 by smacking the sides with a 10 pound sledge hammer. I did have one that i had to make a strong back (beam) and lay across the axle end and run two pieces of 3/4 inch allthread from it back to the BIG holes in teh hub. TIghten them up REAL TIGHT, then smack with a hammer. The seal is right behind the hub, in the case. You can get it out with a screw driver or hook. You will tear it all up getting it out.
