I have just bought a basket case 1940 Allis chalmers B tractor. In the market for a manual, any thoughts on which one to buy? I was looking on e-bay and tractor supply. Thanks for the help. |

| One of every model book ever made. Every revision they change something and just what you need might be in a earlier or later version or it might be in dealer version and not the ITT or may just be the other way around. You will find something different in every one you can find that may be just what you are needing, perhaps a slightly different view in a picture or just a few words that might make things more understandable. Dealer is aimed more at the repairman and ITT is more toward the owner possible just wanting enough information to know if dealer is telling truth or not or how to describe the problem to the dealer. On my machinery manuals for one model of equipment I have up to 7 or 8 different issue manuals that are all different and have to use them in conjunction with one and anouther. One manual will not have it all. |

| ITmanuals are a joke. Spend a few bucks more and get the factory manual. |

| get the original AC manual. It covers just the B & C whereas the IT manual covers other maodels and therfore doesn't explain thing in as much detail. B's are great little tractors, I have 4 of them. Easy to work on and realitively simple machines. LOL Bob |

| Original AC operators and service. I&T is a nice second for service. AC parts manual is nice to have too to see how the assemblies go together.
