WHEN PLOWING THE HYD LEVER CREEPS UP TILL PLOW IS OUT OF THE GROUND. IS THERE ANY WAY TO TIGHTEN IT UP.IT HAS NEW FRICTION BLOCKS. TRACTOR IS A WD

Same problem on my WD... Still haven't figured it out. Usually have to tie it in the down position when unused, and hold it down constantly when using an implement.

Keep those friction blocks Dry (NO Lubricant)..
New friction blocks are available..

Are the tension springs below the Quadrant in good shape..??

Those usually are the two places that cure the problem..

Ron..

Bushogpapa has the right idea. I had to hold my hyd lever the whole time I was plowing until I replaced the quadrant spring last winter. Now It stays wherever I put it.

When I had the problem on my WD I made an adjustment on the
control rod down by the frame. While frustrated over it I took
some time studying the movements controlling the valve function
on the pump, the tractor running and watching the clearances for
'lift', 'hold' and 'lower', loosened the set screw, adjusted and re-
tightened. I have never had the problem again.
