Will Herring 11-10-2012 14:14:47 50.103.230.183 Report to Moderator	I am going to check the oil in my gear box tomorrow, and wondered what weight oil it takes. I assume it is 90 wt gear oil? The plug is right there above the old "AC" logo. Also, can anybody tell me what model this is, so I can try to find a manual for it? It's a recent acquire, and I don't know much about it. Found it took the first pint without pushing anything out the level plug on the other side. Finally she started to let some "goop" out. I'm glad I topped her off... Left one is lower; fill right plug til it starts to run out the left plug. Very good mower. Made for AC by Brillion (I think). [Reply]  [No Email]

I use 90W140 in mine, no problem. There is also a grease fitting, below the gear box, in the back, to lube the 2 lower bearings. [Reply]  [No Email]
