Forgot to say,I was talking about d14 allis.Is there any way to shim up or stretch releif spring on oil pump?I'm sure it has brng wear,I would like to have a little more than 5 lbs pressure.I know these are low pressure engines.Do you think a person could get by with that or not? Has anyone ever rolled in mains a d14 I have in lots of other engines but not familiar with this tractor. Thanks Again;

On a D14 the mains have no effect on the oil pressure. As stated before, it is affected by having the wrong oil filter or not having the stand pipe inside of the filter. Other then that, the pressure relief valve is at the front end of the cam shaft and can be accessed by removing a plate on the timing cover. Must remove the radiator first. You will find 2 springs, one inside of the other, a ball and the thrust plunger. The ball could be bad, the spring weak. LOL Bob
