I picked up a wide front for my WD the front brace had been tack welded to the steering box ,I removed it and found that it had been put togegther using 5/8 bolts witch are lose in the holes 3/4 will not fit ,anyone know what size is propper for thi unit? THANKS, Don

Well if 5/8 are loose and 3/4 are to big try an 11/16 which they do make but are harder to find. Been doing a job on a Ford that used 11/16 bolts to hold a loader on and had to drill and tap them for 3/4 inch bolts and did them fine tread

Half inch bolts were standard, whether 3 bolt (WC, 47-48/WD,48-53) or 4 bolt(WD45) front. If 5/8 are loose, either use heli-coil or drill/tap larger. Pretty much enough enough meat in the casting to drill/tap larger.

Yep some how trying to find bolts in 9/16 and 11/16 are ones that are hard to come by and if you do find them they want 5 times more for them or so it seems. I have found them before but only in grade 2 which for what I need them for is not good enough so I did the 3/4 inch tap fine tread so I can use grade 8 bolts
