The way I do it.

scrape all the crud off the shaft down to the brake drum. wire brush it the best you can. Turn the shaft untill you can see a square head set screw thru the 1 inch hole in the housing, remove the set screw. Remove the bearing cap 4 bolts and plate on the outside of the shaft. Setup in the press, block it square and push the shaft out thru the drum and out the other side with the bearing. Helps to spray penetrant on the shaft and hub. You can do it with a 5 pound hammer and a brass plate, but sometimes it takes 200 swings to get it to move.
