I need to pull my pump as it is leaking around the gasket where the pump mounts. I replaced the gasket before and it is leaking again. What can I use to make my own gasket? Also any tips as far as installing it goes. thanks Mike

AGCO still sells the gaskets, but you could make one out of any very think gasket material. The original is very thin. I heard of a guy that cut his out of a cerial box.

I've only change one. I got the pump in place and then worked the gasket in and around all the cam rollers, but doing it that way you can't put and sealer on so mine still leaks a little. It's really hard to get the gasket and pump worked into place without teariung the gasket.

If you can get some, paper grocery bags are good for making gaskets. Thats close to the thickness for several gaskets on a wd or wd-45.

Dave I think that's what may have happened the last time I replaced the gasket with a factory gasket. Some else said to remove the bottom stud and install from the bottom but I am afraid I might brake the stud.

I used fel pro gasket Karropak Tan fiber 1/32" sheets for mine, made in the USA, Good for sealing oil, coolant and gasoline. So cheap when you make your own. I made two and sure as heck I destroyed the first one on my first attempt. So far i've also used the fiber on the oil filter flange, final drive pans I also keep a roll of the cork one as well. Good luck
