A couple months ago I posted some Questions
about a Model B my Son in Law purchased off
Ebay. At the Time I didn't have a Manual in my
hands & U guys helped with my Questions. This
little tractor has turned out to be a real deal
for his needs of hauling in fire wood. The B he
has, has the adjust Straight Wide frt. The
Previous ower robbed the Hydraullic Cylinders
& controls, along with the pieces & parts for
the lift. I said there are many of these around
& said to keep a Look Out these parts will turn
up.

I said in my other Post that I was a J/D Guy
& He was concerned about buying another Brand
Thinking I wouldn't help him on it?? I said it's
a Tractor?? I Love Tractor & have always had
a soft spot for a Model B Allis. Yesterday He
calls me, Hey I have Found a Guy That has two
model B's in his back yard, he wants them
REMOVED from his Yard? He made the Guy a Offer
& Said Get them the HE77 of of here!! 800.00
for the Pair, one Has a Woods Mower with Good
Tires, & a Hole in the Block, the Other Has a
Frt Mounted Snow Plow, NEW TIRES & Chains but
Won't Start?? Both have Hydraulics & One again
has the Rare Straight adjustable Wide Frt. I
Went last night & Looked at them, both have
good Seats, Tires, Mufflers, Lights & Decent
Paint..

He asked me, Can you Help Me with them? I said
You KNOW I WILL!

Be Prepair, I might be needing More assistance
Dumb Questions, from a J/D Guy....

I am fairly color blind when it comes to tractors. Currently I have:
Allis B
Allis WC
JD H
Massey 35 SP combine
McD W30
Farmall Regular
JD LUC engine

I will always have a sweet spot for my Allis B though b/c it was my first:

Well if you check out most of the forums you will see the name OLD in most of them. Any good tractor guy will or should have if he has more then one a tractor of not just one color but many colors since no one tractor of brand will do it all LOL

Very good deal. These old tractors are worth much, much more than they are selling for and I am not looking at them for antique value, I look at them as very practical tractors to use. I saved a B and C from scrap recently. My first tractor was a C. If money allows this winter I will give the B and engine rebuild and then the C. Very good durable practical tractors.

I grew up on the 1948 Allis B that I still have. It's still a great little tractor for those wood hauling jobs, etc. Lots of parts around, easy to fix anything, very durable. And after you fix it all up, paint it, put on new decals, etc. it's light enough that you can haul it around to shows & parades with a a 1/2 ton truck. Perfect tractor to get into the hobby with.
