Bruce Bower 08-03-2012 18:58:39 99.47.108.71 Report to Moderator	The original slotted bolt with a taper that fits into a female machined taper on the starter will not thread all the way through with the starter removed. Is that hole supposed to be threaded all the way through the hole or there some sort of shoulder in the casting? I want to replace with a grade 8 bolt, that has been machined to the taper specs, so I can tighten down the starter properly. I would appreciate comments from you gentlemen. Thanx muchly! I have replaced a couple with standard 5/8 NC bolts. just taper the end on the grinder. It dont have to be perfect, it will lock in real simple and make a good ground.   [Reply]  [No Email]
