THE system works entirely different than a car or truck. The pump puts out a given volumn of oil. The tube restricts what goes into the filter. THE filter cleans about 15% of the oil and dumps it back into the oil pan. THe remaining 85% of the oil goes to lube the motor, not going thru the filter. IF you take out the tube and let 50% of the oil go thru the filter to sump, you only get about 50% circulation... You can have the same problem if your filter is defective and has no backpressure. NOte the filter is packed cotton stuffing, not pleated paper.   [Reply]  [No Email]
