Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 12 volt conversion on a tractor with distributor instead of magneto? |

| That 10 ohm/10watt resister can also be a simple light bulb or diode. I have tractors wire up all those ways and have done many others with a few out ways to excite the alternator |

| tha above assumes you are installing a DELCO 10SI alternator as your 12 v retrofit. The 10 ohm resistor is to cut backfeed from the alternator, and also drops voltage slightly so alternator will kick in and start charging. I have used this drawing on several tractors. I also like to install a FORD starter solenoid and a push button and clamp the factory switch on the starter "DOWN" so it is always engaged, and let the solenoid do the work. |

| If you need a resistor on the coil depends on if you get a new 12 volt coil that needs no resistor, or if you use the old 6 volt coil that does need the resistor. |
