My latest find.

[size=14:9284898465]Picked up a 1939 WC today. Looks like a few minor repairs and she's good to go. It has a couple of modifications that I'll have to find out about but all in all I'm pleased. I think I'll keep this one in her work close.[/size:9284898465]

That looks like the first tractor I drove 60 years ago. It was a 1941 WC. It had a different seat on it. Would really like to find it but I don't have the serial number. Really nice tractor. Thanks for the pics.

Looks good to me. I see a dist conversion, foot brakes, and some kind of aftermarket seat. Looks original other than those.

Hey, Retired...what makes it any more dangerous than anything else built in the 30's or 40's? I'll admit it helps to be a 4 arm monkey running one with hand brakes, but dangerous...?

Looks like a good tractor. Plowed for a neighbor who had one with hand brakes. No problems just kept your hands busy on the turn row. I was faster and more limber then, only 14.

Good looking WC, our local AC mechanic said they were his favorite tractor. I think he is only 84 now, slowed down this last year, might retire when he is 90 or so.

It's hard to keep a good man down.
