Hello.
The kids in our FFA chapter our working on the principal's AC B. We need to change out the tool boxes, as his is rusted badly around the bottom sides. How is is done? The steering rod runs through it. All the bolts are out of the panels, we just need to get it from around the steering rod. Any help is appreciated.

I can"t remember for sure but I was thinking that you just have to pull the steering arm off the box, take the throttle and choke cables off and the battery box then it slides up and off.

Proble easier to remove the steering wheel first, then the assuming you have already removed the gas tank, take the strap off at the top. If you loosen the bolts holding the steering box you can slip the tool box past the post. You can take the two bolts holding the steering box to the torque tube and remove it all together. After the gas tank is removed I put the torch over the threads on the torque tube down in the tool box and heat hot so the rusted screws do not twist off.
