B Hydraulics Problem

I know probably common problem so here is my questions. Trying to get my sons B up and running for a ploiw day that is comming up in memory of him. After I finially got the B running I mounted the Plow that I had to his tractor and the hydraulics will barely pick up the plow and not allow it to be lowered, but it will drift down over about a minutes time. Is the pump valves sticking? Pump rebuild/replacement? The control linkage is broke and or missing where can I find this. Help is greatly appreciated and time is of the essence here Thanks in advance

I had a problem with the pump on my 52 B, when I first got it going, and knew that I was NOT a pump mechanic. I ordered a pump from Sandy Lake, in I think it was Penn. It's online anyway. That didn't help me because it turned out that the cams in the rear end was worn down till the pump wasn't getting a full stroke. I removed the ballancer pully, machined off the hand crank spurs, recessed a 1/8 " x 2" depression in the center of the ballancer, and drilled and tapped 4, 1/4"x20 holes, and added a 4" long 3/4" shaft, out thru the hand crank hole, put a lovejoy coupler on it, and installed a Haldex gear pump, mounted on a homemade platform. Put a 2 gal resivour on the right side, and a set of control valves on the right fender, and plumbed the setup. best money I ever spent! I even have down pressure on my 3 point, sure is nice when using the back blade, and don't need blocks to weight your disk with . number that you need so you can order from the
dealer.

If time is really important then call Sandy Lake Implement and ask for parts. Sandylakeimp.com 1-888-252-0656 They have just about every old Allis part on the shelf. Ask about a used one also as they sometimes have used parts available. I know when I was there about a year ago they had a couple of used pumps available and sitting there.

When I got my B the hydraulics didn't work at all. There was a
bunch of water in the rear so I drained it, filled with kerosene,
ran for a while and worked the hydraulics, then drained and
refilled with 20W. It isn't perfect but now it works...well enough
to pull up fence posts.

that spring loaded cam linkage thingy on the pump is very important. If it is stuck or wont rock backward easy on the spring, you wont be able to lower the plow.

I will need to purchase new linkage to opporate the control as it is bent and the handle broke on Sunday while trying to work the control. The control seamed to work as smoothly as my C. Should I just pull pump off and tear apart and clean all the parts? Seems not any parts will destroyed for the clean or am I missing something
