Head and manifold work, $$?

Need to pull the head on my 57 WD45 gasser and have the ports built back up, and have the manifold planed this summer, and idea of the potential cost? almost afraid to ask..

a complete rebuild on my 49 wd head cost me about
$220 labor and $140 in parts.

Having a head rebuilt can be a easy job or a mess to do so to guess-to-mate the cost of any given head is impossible to do. I have seen one go for around $200 and then the next cost well over $500

Had the same thing done last year. Valves ground, new
exhaust valve seats, intake valve seats ground. This was
about $220. I had the two outside exhaust ports welded up
with nickel rod and cut down with a fly cutter but that was
done where I work so I'm not sure what that would cost to
have done.
