D17 Diesel rebuild

How hard is it to pull the sleeves in a d17 diesel. I have bad blowby and lack of power and want to rebuild the engine. How tough a job is it to pull the sleeves to put new ones in? Do they make an oversize kit for these engines? thank you.

on my series 4, a professional AC mechanic overhauled it. He fought with them for the better part of 3 days. Was the toughest 1 he had done in years. Make sure you have the right head gasket to put back in it.

Also make sure you have sleeve protrusion or you will be replacing a head gasket in the future. Getting this may result in machining the block$$$$$
