I loaned my IT manual out and I need to change the HYD. oil in my WD, for the lift rams. What oil is recomened and/or works best. I'll be getting it at TSC. I know I should know this but all my notes are in the book and I can't get that till the weekend.

Cheers.

Ours have always had the same engine oil as the engine..
10-30 or 10-40..
Changed..???? Never have here...

Bushhogpapa.......are you saying that you run engine oil (10w-30) in the hydro?

I was always told this would foam under the pressure. Sure it would work but, hmmmm. Guess i dont really know.

Thanks. I was not sure if it was the universal stuff. The hyd fluid in my WD has gotten some H2O in it some how. Now it looks like milk. Oh well it's been in it for a few years (more like 12) now.
Thanks
I'll be getting my IT manual back saturday. I don't think I'll loan it out again!

AC usually recommended a non-detergent SAE 30 so that it did not foam. Universal or HyTran is necessary only when used in the differential of the tractor as they have high pressure additives. Anything will work as the AC system is not too high tech. Don't waste money on high priced oils as it won't do any good.
