WD45 engine in a WD tractor

In process of saving our family WD from the scrapyard. Unfortunately, the engine block was cracked. Located a WD45 long block at a salvage yard. Looks like it will drop right in.

Does anybody know if the jets or other internal parts are different between WD and WD45 carburators?

A slight loss of power from the WD45 engine is not a big deal as the tractor will only be used for plowing the garden, minor grader blade work, etc.

Thanks,

Bill.

On the WD45, the carburetor, air cleaner and connection hose are larger. So try to get those parts along with the engine and you will have a powerful WD. The engine would likely run OK using the WD fuel system. For good starting, the WD45 engine needs a 12v upgrade.
