allis chalmers CA starter problems!!!

this starter is not trying to do anything it is not trying or attempting to rotate i made sure i is not locked up and it has a good battery in it have any ideas???

the contact on the starter,,and the one on the starter switch attached to the battery lead ned to be clean and have good contact to each other and also pull the starter out and wire wheel the area where it slides into the bell housing and the bell housing to be sure you have a good ground,,,would help to put some electolis grease on there before reassembly too. one more make sure the ground cable has a clean area where it bolts to the tractor.

Actually the main ground from the starter to the torque tube is the locking stud.
I always jump from the starter and the locking stud. You can remove the starter switch from the starter and hold the jump cable clamp tight against the contact stud to make sure that the lack of turning of the starter is in the starter rather than in the wires or wire connections. If the starter spins good that way you would know that the starter was not your problem.

well if your looking at the starter while its still on the tractor u can see where the wire loom is actually burnt off could thAt be an issue?
