what ac tractor had a 2 stroke detriot diesel ? im guessing mid 50's it was a good sized tractor. I didnt get a chance to get a good look at it

The only ones that came that way from the Allis factory were crawler tractors.
I think there was a Thompson Cane tractor conversion that used a model UC chassis, but had a Detroit 2-71 installed.

I don't recall any tractor {Wheel Tractors} that had the 2-71 diesel.
I know the HD-5 crawler had it.

Might be the tractor, Jeff, but it ain't the right noise! Those Detroits are kind of a high pitch whine, from the roots blower, integral to the motor. Good footage, though.

Yea, I know the sound of a Detroit and I was wondering about that myself.
Drove tractor trailer for 30 years.
Detroits still ringing in my ears.
Drove a Jimmy once with a 318 and no mufflers.
WOW!!!!!!
