Removing steering wheel on B model

The steering wheel on my 1940 B doesn't look so good so I bought a new one. The question is - how is the best way to get the old one off. Will a gear puller work or.....?

Thanks

Best fastest way is to loosen the nut out two about two threads. Heat the hub hot. Not warm but hot. Take a steel bar of some sort and place it under the hot hub and hit the bar with the biggest hammer you have as hard as you can without causing damaged fingers or hands. Steering wheel will pop up to the nut. The reason not to take the nut all the way off is so you dont have to chase it down. It usually only takes me one swing with my short handled sledge. Heating on the hub only will expand the hub. The quicker you can whack it the less it will have shrunk back down as it cools without heat on it.
