How much should I load tires.

Ok. I have a D17 with a allis 500 loader on it. I am getting the rear tires replaced tomorrow as both are bad but one sprung a leak. It leaked out a good amount of calicium............I use the tractor mainly for loader work around farm, I mow hay with a simi mount sickle mower, and bale with a JD214ws.......I will also do light plow work (10 to 12 acres a year in medium soil)............

How much shound I load the tires?

Rotate the tire so the valve stem is at the top, then fill to that level. Gives you about 3/4 full, CRS says it will be about 700 pounds per tire- depending on the CaCL mix, assuming you have the 16.9x28 tires. Air up after filling.

For loader work, I would fill them to the top of the rim..about as full as you can get them..
The liquid will not slosh in the tires and tend to push you when you stop
I keep all 4 tires loaded full as I can get them on my WD-45 and that makes it just about right..
The front tires feel a little hard, but I need that weight on the front (plus a rail road iron) when plowing..(4x14" Semi-Mounted)..

My WD45 owners manual shows level with the top of the rim. This picture shows the level on a warm day following a very cool night on a tractor that only wishes it was a WD45.

Never had many flats or new tires when I farmed but I always had the fluid filled to the valve stem with said valve stem on the top of the tire when filling. That air space left after filling is important to give the tire room for a little flex.My dad always filled his tires 1/2 full and said that was enough. He prefered to hang tire weights or bolster weights instead. He always had at least 3 circle weights on each rear tire when plowing. This was before duals became the norm. After duals he still used 3 circle weights per rear tire as the duals were rim mounted. We never did have axle mounted duals.
