Looking for help with a '61 D15 with the Roll-Shift adjustable front end.

We've had the tractor for 2 years and are the third owners. I just took the loader off of it, and went to adjust the front end to a narrower width. I followed the owner's manual, but the tie rods will not move at all. I heated the clamp area with mapp gas, but still nothing. I tried spreading the clamp a bit, still nothing.

Anyone have some suggestions?

this is very common on all roll shift front axles I spray them with BLASTER pent. oil then leave the clamps off ( no bolt ) & drive the tractor turning both direction if this doesn't work then it is big time heat on my tractor I alway used never sieze on them before they got froze.

Some of the guys have been say a 50/50 mixture of ATF and acetone is the best penetrating oil they have ever tried. You might try it on the rods.
