Combining Beans

Could anyone provide some info on this photo?

It appears to be either a WD or WD45 with a Femco weatherbreak and an AC combine.

Not much to go on. The WD has the snap coupler hitch. By the size of the tires and the rim width, I'd guess it is a WD-45. The combine is PTO driven. The PTO guard is missing. Looks like an Allis Model 60. The truck looks like a 1948 to 1950 Ford F-1. I'd guess the picture was taken sometime in the mid to late 50's somewhere in the mid-west. I guess that because of the clothes and the heat houser which is needed in October in Minnesota, etc.

One last thing, the photo looks like it was taken with a Kodak Instamtic 126 camera based on the picture size. That camera didn't become available until the early 60's so it may be later than the mid 50's.

What would you like to know about it since it is my picture? That is my Dad on the 60 combine, my step grandpa on the 45 and a neighbor that they used to combine for and I believe that is the neighbor"s pickup but it could have been ours also. Picture was taken by my grandmother probably around 1964 or 1965 because in 1965 or 1966 they bought a D19 and a 66 Big Bin. Before the 60 AC they had an old MM combine with Wisconsin engine on it. We live in northeast Iowa and back then it was always good to get the crops out and field work done by Thanksgiving.

Happy I found the owner. :D I remember saving the pic a while back because it reminded me of the old days when all we had where the pull-type combines and the only way ti stay warm was with a heathouser and some heavy clothes. Would you happen to have more photos of the tractor w/ wo/ the combine? Once again, I am very happy to have found you.
