I have a '53 WD-45 with the stock style seat off to the right side. I have long legs and it gets rather uncomfortable with my right leg all scrunched up when I drive it for long periods... especially when I am on the downhill side while plowing with my other leg up going uphill and trying to sit straight. Both my father and grandfather have WD's that have a hinge deal that brings the seat more or less centered in the cockpit and the seat can flip over and hang above the right fender upside down to keep the seating surface dry.
I called the local salvage yard trying to locate one, and they say the closest thing they have is one for a D-17, and that the book shows nothing for a WD/WD-45. I could tell right there that the D-17 was a completely different idea, they did let me snoop around the yard and I turned up nothing.
Are these things an aftermarket thing or did AC really make them? If so does anybody happen to have the part #?
