Help needed with D15 selector valve install

I'm hoping someone out there can help me with this. I've got a '61 D15 Series 1 gas that I'd like to install a selector valve on to. I've got the shop and operator's manuals, but neither explain how to plumb it.

As I can tell, the supply (high pressure) line comes up through the torque tube on the driver's right side under the instrament cluster. How do I plumb the valve so as to isolate the main lifting ram (located inside the rear housing)?

Any D15 experts out there?

I don"t know squat about the 15s, but the AC-17 manual covers the D 14, 15, 17 models and the high pressure line to the rear is on the left side, going to the transport valve. By instrument cluster, you mean the gauges? No hydraulic lines there. Selector valve would tie into the line going to the rear, and split hydraulics to at least two options.

The high pressure line does indeed come up through the housing under the gas tank/gauge cluser. Then it tees into the traction booster system/gauge. Then it turns and runs over to the drivers left side then making its way to the rear of the tractor. But now I think that's irrelevent.

I got a different view point last night.

I thought the pressure line already supplied the lift ram before exiting the torque tube. Not true right? If I understand it correctly, the supply line feeds the lift ram through the rear end housing, so I might be making a big deal about nothing. If that's the case all I need to do is install an A-C selector valve in place of my existing outlet. Is this correct, or am I still wrong?

On the D17, the high pressure line going to the rear is connected to the oil distribution husing or a transport valve. Inside the diff, a hose connects that to the internal ram for the lift arms. To add a selector valve you would disconnect the line at the housing/transport valve, and connect to the selector valve, with one valve port being reconnected to the housing/transport valve. That way you could hold the lift arms in position while running a remote cylinder off of the other port in the selector valve. Details at paragraph 250 in the AC 17 manual.

JMS,
Is there a part number listed for the selector valve? Because oil is directed down through the valve into the rear housing, the valve is unique to A-C tractors. An aftermarket valve from Northern Tool, etc won't work.

Thanks.
