I just got back an old 5040 that we used to have on our farm, we got rid of it but now it has found its way back home. After we sold it, the new owner began to have problems with the steering. He says it steers fine to the left but it very tight and jerky when steering to the right and almost impossible to turn back to center from the right. This is how they describe what is happening, they used it for a few years and once this began they parked it and it has just sat for 2 or 3 years. I haven't yet cranked the tractor because I haven't changed the fluids. But I am sure it will still have the steering problem, Although after having sat idle for that long it may be the least of my problems. Anyway if any of you have any ideas about what might create this problem any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
