Selector valve for D15?

I've never been impressed with the hydraulics on my '61 D15 gas, Series 1. It's got a Freeman-made (A-C badged) loader that runs off of the rear remote under the seat. I'd like to use a ballast box in back for winter time (snow removal) and still have full use of the hydraulics for the loader. Right now, anything hooked-up to the rear lift arms is useless, as the loader commands all of the hyraulics. I can isolate the loader from the system (by way of an in-line quater turn vavle) and then use the lift arms, but I want to be able to set the rear lift and forget about them while using the loader.
So...What vavle do I need and how is it plumbed?

Thanks!

Indeed, that's a selector valve.

But how is it plumbed? My D15 has one remote outlet. Won't I have to run a new supply line to the rear lift hydraulics? If so, where and how? Seems to me all of that is inside the housings and out of my view.

I am more of the selector valve guy than the A-C guy by far. The selector valve has 3 ports. One being power in. The other tw are for power out. Aline would need to go to your lift and the other one 2 the loader. You may also need to plumb your loader return so it does not go through this valve. There may be a better solution How do you control your loader now. With the A-C valve or with a seperate loader valve. You may need to add that valve and then plumb the return into the tractors hydraulic system.

The selector valve is installed in the hydraulic line that goes to the 1) Oil distribution housing, or 2) Transport valve, if so equipped. Either one is the fitting on top of the lift arm housing. If you have the transport valve, there is already a return line going back to the sump- tap into that. My Series III D17 has the factory return line going into the sump on it's left side, forward of the clutch. You can also run a return into the drain plug hole. With the selector valve installed, you'd feed the loader off of one of the two outlet ports, the other would go into 1) or 2).

To add to the previous info...You do not need a return line to sump to use a selector valve--unless you are using a two-way cylinder in the system. If your loader is a trip bucket....uses only a single-acting cylinder on the tractor remote- no need for a sump line. If you have a hydraulic bucket on the loader, you already have a two-way valve to run that, and it would be fed by the selector valve. Don't know about the D15 Op manual, but the Series III D17 Op manual has several pix showing the hyd options with standard, selector, transport valve, or optional single and multiple valves, showing how they are plumbed.

Thanks for the info, guys.

My loader is full hydro, with single action lift arms and double action bucket cylinders. From the remote under the seat, the supply line runs to a valve bank, and a return line runs from the valve bank back to the sump up by the clutch pedal.

I've got the D15 ops manual, and it shows options for various valves, but not how to plumb them.

So I need to run a new and seperate supply line from the selector valve to the rear lift ram, right? Isn't all of that inside of the rear housing?
