Looking for a Family Tractor | Ever get to thinking about an old friend you haven't seen in years and wonder if you could ever locate them again? About 20 od years ago I lost track of our old Farmall M in my home town of Carrolltown, PA. Seems a man in town there sold it to a couple of fellows in Summerhill or South Fork, PA near Johnstown. Supposedly they bought it to clean up some land that had been ravaged by a tornado. A couple of stories said that they had reworked the engine and put a wide front from an 806 on it but whether this is true I don't know. It had some peculiar marks and scars on it from all the years I grew up on it and I think I'd recognize the old girl in an instant. Unfortunately, I never recorded her serial number. I'd love to bring her home. Anybody in PA have a clue as to where she might be????? Herb Jankovich, PA, entered 2001-10-08 My Email Address: Not Displayed |
