Happy Thanksgiving Folks! I've acquired a 159 gas engine that I was going to just swap with my own (currently burning a bit of oil). However, in being prudent to check inside, I found there's some wear that needed attention (oil blow by, pin slack, etc...) So I'm stripping it down to hot tanking status, and building it up. That means the one I pull out will be a functional engine (used it on the weekend) but burns a bit of oil and has some knock. How much could I sell it for? Blocks and crankshafts are hard to find for the G159, and I saw an engine on Ebay (still listed right now) selling for $1000 and it had caught fire - might not sell though. Any idea of what you've seen parts or full used engines go for? I'm hoping to recoupe some of my rebuild expenditures by selling it, or if the money isn't there, keep it for the tractor for the future (will be worth more tho the buyer if I sell the tractor with a spare motor). Thanks again...

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
