I need to have the crank throws measured so that I can have new connecting rod bearings made. Should I take the crank out of the tractor to have it miked or have someone make a service call out to measure it? How difficult is it to remove the crankshaft from the engine? How do I know if the crank is still ok to use or if it needs replaced? How expensive would it be to replace the crankshaft? Any help from you veterans would be much appreciated.
