'52 SC Front End worn out ...questions.

My SC has a wide front end. The verticle spindle for the steering isn't too bad but the horizontal pin that allows the front to tilt is badly worn. It's the housing that's worn. Has anyone bushed this area? Should I repair or try to replace? Are the front spindle housings supposed to be straight up and down? My front is raked out forward from the wear. Any suggestions?
