I’m not really trying to start a argument , ( will maybe I am) but this is to all you that want to be so correct on ser.# and date of manufacture. This is a story about my 1929 L Case. I wrote some of this a long time ago. In the late summer (Aug. or Sept.) of 1928 at the Cheyenne County Fair in Sidney, Nebraska The Case company had two L Cases on display. The way they did this was to have them running in a circle with no one on the tractor. No tractor at that time could do that. My grandpa liked them (at that time he was running a Cross mount Case and a Hart-Parr tractor) He bought one of them ( the one I still have) as I said this was in the late summer of 1928. He may not have had it delivered to his farm until the early spring of 1929,(picture of him on it was taken in the spring of 1929) another picture of it at harvest of 1929. I write this because so many of you insisted that no 29L was made until the summer of 1929. Also I was told by letter from case company ( I lost the letter-darn-) that the ser.# shows it was made in the first run. Also some of you dispute this. Maybe case did not keep good records back than but my dates on my tractor are right..
