Thanks all for the solid advice. I went over to my dad's place to fire it up today and check exhaust temps at each cylinder, but it wouldn't fire up. Pretty cold here today, and I had no ether. Will get some and try tomorrow morning.
Found today though that it has a coolant leak up front in addition to a pretty big oil leak up top. Think it's time to pull the hood off this week and get a better look at what sort of fix up job I'm looking at.
Debating about doing a major overhaul on it. Moved 2100 miles this summer to get back to family farm and the idea was to use grandpa's 1370 as my primary tillage tractor. Thanks all for the advice! I'll do some digging and poking over next couple days trying your suggestions and will post what I figure out when I have more news! I travel back west late this week so might be the week after this one before I get too far into this, but looking forward to tearing into it!
