Gregg, How are those cluckers doing? I hope OL Earl gets there soon and gives them USDA Cluckers a ride over Wolf Creek Pass, They'll be stacked a lot higher on that flatbed outa Wiggens than they were a few weeks ago in the hen house. HeHe. Are you still strugling with the heaters? Temp has dropped to 9F as I post and we are in the midst of a clipper coming in off the lakes, and can't see the farm at the moment. I wish you would shut the freezer door out there, you're causing me to burn extra wood. HeHe. The wifey is happy though, it was 74F in here this morning and it is 77.2 where she is sitting. I'm back in my little nook where I can see the farm to the north, watch traffic on US 20, see what goes up our road towards the farm, and off over the valley to my east, still searching for the new gears in my CTV. I'm in the tail gunners seat of our non flying fortrus that we call home. Loren

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
