I also told another one I would livelong enough to see them cut up for scrap, that really let the wind out of his sails! I don't care! There weren't that many people stupid enough to sit on top of one to change a anemometer or a windvane let alone slide between the blades at 200 feet up to enter the nose cone to grease the blade bearings or go up 300 feet in a man basket on a crane to attach tag lines so we could drop a rotor. I changed alot of generators and dropped the rotors several as well as changing out gearboxes. I'm not sure they are really that renewable. We sure burnt enough gas driving V10 Fords repairing them amonst the other costs. I have never saw wasted money like wind companies blow.
