I wasn't trying to start any fights. I just thought it was sad a like new SC with next to no hours ended up in the trees.
Thinking about it more. it must have been 1980 when they removed it from the barn. The barn was just down the street from where I live. I remember looking at it with dad. Other than being dirty it looked new. The barn was also filled with new Case parts. I remember seeing lots of boxes on the shelves with the Eagle on them. The owner told dad he could have the parts for his repair business. Dad didn't have a lot of case customers so he passed! I remember seeing magnetos, water pumps, and lot a of clutch and brake linings, even a DC fuel tank in a wooden crate. After the SC was running again The owner (Dean) let his son use it to farm his 5 acres. His son lived just one house over from ours. I loved to sit and watch that SC plow with a 3btm Case plow. That was the best part of my summer vacation, watching that old SC work! When deans son moved away,( around (around 1886) the SC was parked in deans yard where it is now.
That SC is the reason why I'm a Case guy today.I loved to watch and listen to that Case motor work.
I would like to find a case tractor that came from my home town case dealer.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
