the set I have I am second owner on, I agree on all the Case casting, seed boxes/feed ect, my thoughts on them are this, Case had several things they were proud of at the "70" series Intro that I remember very well, this series drills and the double windrow header(shiftable draper) they had then on a model 856 windrower, it was on a Killberry power unit instead of Hesston made for grain applictions first then they told us it would be "beefed" for hay cutting the next year which never came as they dropped them with all harvesting equipment in 1970, we were told by our block man the hdr was in house built, I am sure it was sold to Killberry as they have a new version of it today, the "ED" drills I think were the same way as they were the only Case drills to have the cast aluminum feed cups instead of the cast units all previus Case drills had, if you look at a Kirshmen/Melroe/Lilliston drill they have many similar designs as the "ED" units and I always wondered if Case did not sell off the design to them I have no proof of this just a gut feeling, also our dealership never sold a Case drill but we did sell Kirshmen hoe drills not sur why I chose to type all this just felt the need I guess,,, by the way does any one have a ops manual for them they would sell??? cnt

I can think of a few common, ordinary sounds in my daily life, too.
