Went to seed a few oats wit orchard grass for hay last night. I had got back from a family reunion and ran the disk over the ground first, so it was almost dark when I started. Hooked a 300 up to a Model D drill, made one pass around the field, and noticed two tubes were stopped up. Pulled to a somewhat level spot and got off to unstop them. Went around to the back of the drill and saw a wasp nest and right where I needed to work! Knew for sure I'd get stung if I continued so I decided to pull the drill to the house, where I had Wasp and Hornet killer. It was getting dark and I was in a hurry, so I put the thing in 4th and took off across the field. And I mean took off! I was bouncing all over the place! Anyway, got home got the wasp spray, went to the back of the drill, and there were no wasp on the nest. When the tractor started bouncing across the field they flew off to attack, and the tractor left them in the dust! Unfortunately it was dark by the time I got things unclogged so I will have to finish one evening this week. I'll try to post pictures when I do.
