When I was a Case dealer I knew a couple of guys in the R&D dept at Racine. We had a 1070 PS with ROPS sent to Dyneer Systems, MUD HOG and they designed a hydraulic front assist for it. They mounted a crank driven variable displacement pump and controls on the front of it and put electronic switches on the C1-3 test ports to change pump displacement. And then it was shipped to us. As stated they were abit tempramental. The 90series tractors had a much better hydraulic system and the MUD HOG was driven by the main pump. The 1070 is still in service on a farm about 17 miles from me. If I get that way I will try to get a pic. to post. It was in the shop for a Torque limiter last fall. We also sold several 20-2290s with MUD HOGS. I don't know where they are now.Case developed a relationship with Eaton? and dealers did install a mechanical front assist on 930s Pics. were posted here earlier this year showing one. I don't know why they stopped that program. They certainly fell behind, until the MFD was offered on the late 90 series.
