Thanks for the input guys. We also have an E-3 elevator, but the wheels are Wheel green, and it has a Case green frame. Perhaps it is earlier than yours Pat. We also have a T-series plow and a S disc with Wheel Green wheels, and Case Green frames. we sold a 210 chopper that had Dessert Sunset wheels; It must have been late, because others seem to have Case Green wheels. Don, I have also seen threshers with Case Green wheels, and I recently saw a picture of one with Flambeau wheels, like my picker. Of course the thresher wheels could have been painted; my picker is all original. Someone once told me that Case had more than one plant building the same implements, and they would paint the same equipment different colors. So if you knew the colors you could tell where it was built. Have you ever heard of this?

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
