I was wondering when someone might bring up plow depth..... I remember plowing river bottom gumbo late one night when I was in high school in the late 70s. I was running a 2470 with a 7000 series 6-20s semi-mounted plow. Our neighbor was plowing across the fence line with a "Spiegel Special" Massey 1805 with the same 7000 series 6-20s plow. I thought something was wrong with the 2470 until I stopped and walked over to his furrow. He only had the damned thing in the ground 4-6", and was still cheating in the tough spots. All was well in Case Land. He got bragging rights, but we both knew which was the stronger tractor.... - Joe
