Get a 600 lb gage and put it in the C2 port on the powershift valve top cover and watch the gage while it is not moving, the 4 speed need not be in any gear as the ps is a seperate unit. Shift it into 3rd and watch the pressure, then reverse, as these are the three positions where C2 is used. As D stated the clutch spool must go clear into the body and bottom. If there is a top stop bolt in the pedal remove it and throw it in the spare bolt bin, then adjust the lower one till it just touches the firewall as the spool stops in the out direction. There is no cable on a 870 so you can forget that as he also stated. Get back with pressures and we will se if we can help. mEl
