My dad has a fairly early two stick Dual-Range 830 diesel. It has the big roundish pan seat with a wrap around backrest. He got a new set of seat cushins probably 10 years ago, and for the last 7 years it seems to be increasing fond of soaking up every drop of water that touches it. The vinyl covering on the seat is in perfect shape with no visable possible point of entry for the water.
Any ideas of how to get this thing to seal up or at least drain? It will hold water for weeks at a time after a rain for a fun surprise once you sit on it. We have thrown around the idea of drilling a hole in the bottom since the vinyl seems to only let the water get in and not out. Any other ideas? Seat cushins for this thing are not cheap, this set wasn't anyway.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
