Chuck, I didn't really think about looking for a ser # until it was almost dark out. I took my flashlight and its hard to see with the hoe attachment on there, but could make out a 75571 on te back case... if there is a 1 in front of that then it should be a wd-45 if not then in the wd series...it has a curved shifter, and the block is a 45 series with no inspection cover... I would have bought the tractor anyway, but even if it is a wd with a 45 block, the matching loader and hoe were cool and it was neat to see how they hooked everything up...there are 3 hyd rams on the loader, and 6 rams used on the hoe...it is really a spaghetti circus with all the hyd lines... 9 rams X 2 lines each...+ supply and return lines...there are something like 30 hydraulic hoses...now multiply that by about $30-35 each...this is going to be a costly restore...not to mention cleaning and rebuilding all the pumps and controls welding, sandblasting painting the loader/hoe...I am probably going to find a nice running tractor, and just start with that and then do the loader first, and then the hoe as time and money allow. I will crawl under tere tomorrow and see if there is any identification on the front pump to help you find something...

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
