Hi, I acquired a AD4 grader that didn't run until I changed fuel and installed a battery. Although the battery cables appeared to be set up for positive ground I set a 12 volt battery at neg ground up in it. The motor spun in the right direction so I left it that way, it starts and runs ok but it isn't charging. The generator has the data plate missing from it sot I couldn't tell if its supposed to be 6v or 12v. I am going to replace it with a one wire alternator anyway but still would like to know for sure. Also the I rewired the electric brakes and they now work but I am concerned about burning them out with the wrong voltage. Any help would be appreciated...
