I recently bought a '48 B that runs nicely, but has no oil pressure. No oil runs out with the gauge removed. The filter and lines are clean back to the pipe coming out of the rear of the engine. If the intake is not clogged or leaking, it sounds to me like the oil pump. Is this a common problem? Does the tractor have to be split to replace the oil pump? I have seen another B with a jury-rigged external oil pump made from an automotive power steering pump. Are replacement oil pumps available?
